How it Works
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme was devised by the government to aid he reduction of carbon emissions in the UK. ECO was specifically set up to help those who would not normally be able to afford to make improvements to their property to increase energy efficiency.
The scheme ensures that the ‘Big Six’ energy companies (British Gas, EDF, Eon, Npower, Scottish Power and SSE) are obliged to place a percentage of their profits into a central bank account. This money is used to help people on certain qualifying benefits obtain a free energy efficient measure such as A-Rated boilers. To find out if you qualify please complete the form below
If anyone living in the property receives any of the six benefits listed, tick the box alongside. Certain benefits require you to select whether any additional components apply. If you do not receive any of these benefits, tick the bottom box.
Landlords should enter the benefit received by the tenant as it is the tenant who qualifies for the grant.
